(i) an innovation in Judiciary’s decisions, when it requires proof of a company’s compliance, within the scope of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD);
(ii) a study released by Cisco, which shows that – on average – for every US$1.00 invested by companies in privacy and personal data protection, the return on investment is US$2.70; and
(iii) the 2021 IAPP-EY Privacy Governance Report, which ponted out that corporate privacy and personal data protection budgets increased significantly from 2020 onwards, with an average budget amounting to US$350,000.
